Terms of use
Short, because the site is simple: you read it for free, and we are careful about what it is and is not.
1. Who offers this site
bopva.org is operated by JBV Consultancy OÜ, Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia (registry code 14807025). By using the site you accept these terms.
2. Sponsored content
The site is advertising. Every page is labelled “Advertisement · Sponsored content from JBV Consultancy OÜ”. Articles may later be accompanied by a promoted article, which will be labelled as sponsored beside its headline.
3. General information only
The articles explain Canadian public pension programs and their paperwork in general terms. They are not financial, tax, legal or benefits advice and do not take your personal circumstances into account. Figures are quoted from official sources on the date shown or are clearly labelled illustrations; none is a promise, quotation or entitlement. Decisions about your own benefits are made by Service Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency, and you should rely on them, or on a qualified professional, before acting.
4. No government affiliation, no applications, no fees
Bopva is not a Government of Canada, Service Canada or Canada Revenue Agency website and is not affiliated with them. We do not process applications for any benefit, do not charge fees, and never request a Social Insurance Number, banking details or account credentials.
5. The newsletter
The Bopva Letter is free. You subscribe with your email address, confirm it by double opt-in, and can unsubscribe from any issue. The content of the site is never conditional on subscribing.
6. Accuracy and liability
We take care to check every fact against an official source, but rules and amounts change and errors can occur. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence.
7. External links
Links to government and other sites are provided for reference. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
8. Intellectual property
Text, layout and images are protected. You may print or share an article for personal, non-commercial use with a link to the source; any other reproduction needs our written permission.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. If you use the site as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, including Canadian and provincial consumer protection law.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Questions: info@bopva.org.
